Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026. The practices described here have been in place since September 1, 2026.
OppRanger is operated by Black Syndicate LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company doing business as OppRanger and as Carter Black Agency (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use oppranger.com and the OppRanger service, why, and what we do with it.
We keep this short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email hello@oppranger.com.
What we collect
If you visit the public site
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps. Used to keep the site running and secure.
- We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on the public site.
If you request a free digest
- Business name, work email, the certifications you hold, and any NAICS codes you enter. We use these only to build and send the digest you asked for and to follow up about it. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell or share this information.
If you are a client with an account
- Sign-in: we use Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication. We receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier. We store a session cookie in your browser to keep you signed in. We never see or store your Google password.
- Company profile: what you or we enter about your business — capabilities, certifications, NAICS codes, past performance, service areas, and the people who should receive digests.
- Documents: capability statements, past proposals, certificates, and similar files you upload so the service can draft responses that sound like you.
- Usage: which opportunities you view, which responses you generate or edit, and when. Used to run the service and improve how well it fits your business.
Children. OppRanger is a business service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How we use it
- To run the service: scan public procurement portals, score postings against your profile, draft first-pass response material, and send your digest.
- To communicate with you about your account and the service.
- To keep the service secure and to debug problems.
- We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
A small number of providers handle data on our behalf under their own contractual obligations to protect it:
- Web hosting: Vercel
- Scanning engine, scheduled jobs, database, and uploaded-document storage: Railway
- Sign-in: Google (Firebase Authentication)
- Email delivery (digests, notifications, digest requests): Resend
- Automated drafting and scoring: Anthropic. To score postings and produce first-draft text, we send your profile, your uploaded documents, and the solicitation text to Anthropic’s API. Under Anthropic’s Commercial Terms, Anthropic may not train its models on that content.
We also read public procurement sources (SAM.gov, SBA SubNet, state and local portals). We do not send them your information.
How long we keep it
- Free-digest requests that don’t become a client account: deleted 6 months after your last contact with us.
- Client accounts: kept while the account is active. When an account closes, we keep it for 6 months so it can be restored if you return, then delete the profile, documents, and generated responses.
- Backups roll off on our hosting provider’s normal cycle after that.
- Server logs: hosting-provider default.
Your choices
- Ask us to see, correct, export, or delete the information we hold about you or your business: hello@oppranger.com. We respond within 30 days.
- Close your account any time by emailing us.
- Digest emails include a way to stop receiving them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to client data inside our team is limited to the people who run your account. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you promptly.
Not affiliated with any government agency
OppRanger is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of SAM.gov, the U.S. Small Business Administration, or any federal, state, or local agency.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for clients, email you.
